I offer individual psychotherapy to adolescents and to adults facing personal, professional, and relationship-based difficulties. I offer parent counseling to Moms and Dads. And I offer expert couples psychotherapy.
I majored in psychology at New York University, then completed a masters in Clinical Social Work at Catholic University. In clinical practice since 1990, my work focuses on the expert treatment of teenagers, couples, and adults. I am seasoned to a broad population of people and a varied range of presenting problems including relationship conflict, post traumatic stress responses, eating disorders, impulsive anger, anxiety, and depression. I am also certified in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, an emotion focused mind-body psychotherapy. Borrowing from this model and others keeps therapy oriented in the present.
I have had wonderful teachers, mentors, and supervisors from all over the world including Norway, Canada, and Sweden, and more locally from The Thomas Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia and The Washington School of Psychiatry in DC.
